Author: Monika Dundrová Title: Case Study of Physiotherapy Treatment of a Patient After Subcapital Fracture of the Fifth Metacarpal Objectives: The aim of the theoretical part of this bachelor's thesis is an overview of the theoretical knowledge regarding the problematics of metacarpal fractures, the possibilities of their treatment and physiotherapeutic intervention. The practical part concerns case report of a patient with subcapital fracture of the fifth metacarpal. Methods: The theoretical part of the bachelor's thesis deals with the functional anatomy of the hands and the general characteristics of fractures. It focuses on the topic of metacarpal fractures, their incidence, possible complications, prognosis, treatment and physiotherapeutic procedures. A substantial part is focused on the treatment of subcapital fractures of the fifth metacarpal. The special part consists of a case report of a patient with a diagnosis of the condition after subcapital fracture of the fifth metacarpal, which processing was performed using techniques, methods and knowledge gained during the study of physiotherapy.
